I'm still looking for a conspiracy. Perhaps this is a way to wipe out all those who invest without the aid of analysts, AND to get rid of about half of the discount brokerages at the same time. What better way to drive investors back to full-service brokerages?

Regards,

Knip

Michael, on the analyst dujour, this is the second time this year that SSB has accused Compaq of channel stuffing, and predicted Compaq would miss their numbers in a quarter. The previous time, Compaq made them complete liars. Today, Compaq has issued a statement saying they're comfortable with their channel inventory levels. How many times does a company take this blatantly incorrect crap without resorting to some serious means of retort? Sue the lowlifes.
