<<Alan Greenspan is doing the real harm to the economy which is now heading toward,if not already in,a RECESSION.>>

1. Clinton & Gore say the economy is still simply GREAT
2. We all know Greenspan can't make any move until after we have a new President, you wish to lay blame, at the feet of Gore would be far better, with Bush in a distant 2nd.
3. Some members of the Federal Reserve think they see signs of Inflation, if they are correct, dropping the interest rate would be a move Greenspan would never make.
4. The only other tool available to the Federal Reserve is a change in margin debt requirements. A new Internet bubble would also be a very bad thing for the economy on the whole.
5. If you are really concerned with saving the economy & the broad market with it, better hope Bush gets in - & is allowed to make his changes in Social Security & tax reductions QUICK!

And worse yet, because corporate management's overwhelming believe that we're probably going into recession, the fact that they are holding off on expansion plans makes it a self-fulfilling prophesy.

My sources say Nasdaq 2500 with a possibility of 2200, should today's low not hold (which is unlikely given Gore's scorched earth policy).

Wish I had had the guts to tell that to Joe Lieberman this afternoon when we shook hands.

Ron
