Judge Charles Burton stated in court that the cards that were not being counted were ones that he COULD NOT confidently tell what the voter's intent was. How can Gore and his lawyers know the intent better than a democratic judge who was trying to be as FAIR as possible. Please respond to this question as it is quite troubling to me that Gore would SUE a democratic canvassing board for doing EXACTLY what the FL Supreme Court said he should do. Seems to me that he just wants MORE votes.

So if there is a scratch next to, but not on, the chad, that's a vote. Especially if it's next to Gore's name. If a voter voted straight Democratic except for President, and did not vote for President, that implies intent to vote for President, right? If this is "counting the ballots" your welecome to it.
