I hope so. Now, Gore/Boies' camp is trying to make up for the lost time by shortcutting the contest phase, at the expense of due process. The contest phase was cut short ONLY because the Florida Supremes decided to grant Gore/Boies' request to lengthen the pre-certification phase. Gore lawyer Lawrence Tribe was just on CNN, saying elections aren't a game of "gotcha," with fixed deadlines, but rather an effort to make every vote count. Tell that to my precinct chairman, who closed the doors to the polls at 7:00p.m. If it were up to Gore, we'd still be voting, so long as we're registered Democrats.
