Gov. James Gilmore of Va. was on the radio today on and he said that a similar type machine is used in Henrico County, VA where he votes. He makes a very good statement that after you have punched your card you are able to pick it up, observe both front and back and remove any hanging chads as well as make sure you have punched the right hole before submitting the card for counting.

It comes down to the basic difference between Republicans and Dems on individual responsibility. If you are not diligent in how your vote is tabulated then you have no recourse if you did it wrong. If it is that important to you then you should have taken the time to ensure you did it right.

I don't hear Republicans crying that it was too confusing, etc., only Dems. Are we just that much smarter that we can follow instructions and get a simple voting act correct?
