TLC- Its politics, plain and simple. If the situation was reversed, what do you think Bush would do?

DJ Peru's Ex-Spy Chief Kept Secret Escape Hatch Under Tub
11/28/0 14:55 (New York)

LIMA (AP)--For a glimpse into the shadowy world of fugitive ex-spy chief
Vladimiro Montesinos, one need go no further than the secret tunnel leading to
an escape hatch under the his pink bathtub.
Peru's Panamericana Television rebroadcast images Tuesday of the spymaster's
luxury beach house hidden behind high windowless walls topped with protective
electrified wires in a resort town just south of Lima.
The home, raided earlier this month by police searching for the
ex-intelligence adviser, was amply equipped with escape routes.
Montesinos, who has been in hiding since his return last month from a failed
asylum bid in Panama, installed a pink bathtub that when lifted reveals a
tunnel leading to a secret hatch under a plant bed located in the garage of a
neighboring house.
Another secret hatch leading into the underground tunnel was discovered near
the indoor pool.
Former President Alberto Fujimori personally led a spectacular - albeit
fruitless, and many say "staged" - manhunt for his once-closest aide. That was
before his 10-year authoritarian rule crumbled under the weight of Montesinos'
reputed web of corruption.
Congress ousted Fujimori from office last week, declaring him morally unfit
for the presidency and ignoring the resignation he offered from self-imposed
exile in Japan.

<<This thing today with the "recount in seven days deal" is just psychotic. I'm real glad he does not control the military. I am totally serious. >>

A month ago I didn't like Gore or his policies but figured no big deal if he got elected. These last three weeks have changed my mind. The idea of crazy Al with his finger on the button is scary. Any button.
