Aaron,

He said that Intel would give him either one 1.5Ghz or three 1.4Ghz chips, his choice. Unfortunately, he said that motherboards were backordered so he couldn't build any systems for the time being. He said that he has orders for 15 1.5Ghz systems, but for the time being he's forced to sell Sun systems because of lack of motherboards.

He has to sell Sun because of the lack of P4 motherboards? <g>
Let me give you an advice: Don't buy anything from this person.

Joe

What? Have you ever met anyone who had anything to do with a SUN procurement? Talk to them. What you've described isn't how it works.

But someone has spun a cheerful yarn for you.

:-)

Aaron - re: '. Unfortunately, he said that motherboards were backordered so he couldn't build any systems for the time being. "

Thanks for the cool update on Pentium 4's.

As for motherboards, Fry's Electronics in Sunnyvale had them on Saturday - about two dozen remained when I saw them - but they were expensive - $279.

By the way - I saw my first HP Pentium 4 PCs this afternoon - one of which had just been purchased (at CompUSA).
