Yes, I recall saying something to similar effect over a week ago. The only problem is that Al must now know it. Didn't catch the Florida Legislature special committee meeting. But it doesn't surprise me one bit. Its their Constitutional right and duty to ensure that Florida's electoral representatives are appointed, and their votes cast. If Gore insists on trying to spoil the election results it is their DUTY to side step the Al Gore sideshow and take center stage as the Constitution permits and deliver on the promise of presidential election free from lawyers and litigation.

It is clear by the textual content of the Constitution that when it comes to the election of the president disputes are to reside within the House of Representatives and NOT within the courtrooms of a state pursuant to its contest provisions where litigants such as Al Gore could truly put our nation in peril. The framers had tremendous foresight.
