I've been both (arrogant and out of my home state of NY and even living abroad for a few yrs) and I can tell ya, NY IS the epicenter, not just of the US, but of the world...my guess is that if we were to find intelligent life on Mars, they too would claim NY as the center of the universe.

they r provincial in their own way. so r americans. after this fiasco, we will look more ridiculous telling other countries how to act. i hope bush follows his advice and is humble. we have given the world mcdonalds burgers, hollywood garbage, a weird set of biases, a culture with serious problems re family, relationship orf men and women, and rights only for those in protected classes etc. most californians have been outside of that big state- many came from outside of that big state
