I'm sure you have heard the rumor about Alcatel getting some new business (possibly DWDM) from Sprint. >>In Sprint's (FON: news, msgs) case, the No. 3 U.S. long-distance carrier is expected to hire a second supplier of optical gear, perhaps Alcatel (ALA: news, msgs) of France.<< www2.marketwatch.com I was wondering if you could comment on what sort of equipment this would be for-I know Alcatel is stronger in undersea DWDM than terrestrial DWDM but does both. Would you have an idea as to what sort of business Sprint might give Alcatel based on your extensive knowledge? (New business that is, as I am sure Sprint already does business with Alcatel....) Thanks.
