And finally, the last table shows a tabulation of bookings
minus shipments. This is a measure of the continued growth
in backlog that is occurring.

Assuming another 2 months at a backlog growth of about
500M, the total backlog at the end of the calendar year
would be about 7B. This would be a growth of about 4.5B in
backlog compared to the closing at the end of 1999. Keep in
mind these are relative numbers since the true absolute
backlog is unknown.

Don,

So many eyes focused on the SOX breakdown of 600, so many predictions of a quick drop to 450-500.

Will it happen?
CMOS came out with earnings that beat estimates.
Then,
Dr. Graham Siddall, Credence's president and chief executive officer said, ``We concluded the fiscal year with a record quarter that brought our year-on-year growth to 245%. Our bookings of $222 million represented a book-to-bill of slightly over 1.0, which compares favorably with the recent estimates from SEMI of 0.81 for the Test and Assembly sector in October 2000.''

Dr. Siddall continued ``In the current uncertain industry environment, there are concerns that some of these orders could be pushed out. In view of this uncertainty we estimate revenue will be sequentially down in the first quarter of fiscal 2001.''

Don, can you comment on the 0.81 of SEMI report. This seems a part of SEMI - equipment report, vs. the BtB ratio for the semi makers.

Wish they separated the SOX, SMH by equipment cos and chip makers.
