TVX Gold Holder Group Seeks Removal Of Board
TORONTO (Dow Jones)--A group of shareholders of TVX Gold Inc. (TVX:TSE), holding more than 5% of the outstanding shares of the company, are requesting that the company hold a shareholder meeting at which the group will seek the removal of all current directors and the election of a new board.

In a press release, the group said it is led by David Lifschultz, a New-York based private investor, John Hathaway of Tocqueville Asset Management, Andrew Boczek of Gulliver Investments and Mentor Depret, a private shareholder and investment adviser based in Belgium.

The group said it believes that the current share price "doesn't fully reflect the value of the company's substantial assets. We intend to take prompt action to allow shareholders to realize the company's fair net asset value." It didn't elaborate.

TVX officials weren't immediately available for comment.

TVX Gold is a gold producer.

<<Understanding gold as an investment>>

Perhaps a more profitable article would be "Understanding Home Lobotomies subtitled Your Friend Mr. Ice Pick". I'm sure it would be less painful than gold as an investment. It is a trading vehicle at best.
