3 months ago, when QCOM was in mid 50s, analyst Ed Snyder said the short term target for QCOM was in low 30s. I believe that he was just relentlessly attack the stock with comments like that, hoping that the price would erode as the weak get scared and sell off, then trigger another wave of sell off with margin calls etc. He was trying to get a lower entry price for his clients I thought. I believe that endless similar posts on influential message boards by people forecasting lower and lower price targets for brcm is an effort to get a lower entry point or because they are short, or both.
