Eddie, The semis have been a disaster. The communication semis does not really have earnings concerns but have higher valuation.
It becomes a tough choice buy the value stocks or buy stocks with good growth rates.

Maybe the PMCS, BRCM are better investments even with higher PEs. PMCS was very bullish today on their outlook; they are very confident in their presentations. The numbers out of networker ADTC tonite is a good indication of this.

I prefer to take a mix between some value plays along with some high growth. The value in communications is IDTI and think that one seems to combine value and growth in the right sector.

BTW--planning to hold onto CMOS for the long term.

Which April June options did you find worthwhile?

For myself I will wait till the end of the week and then go for some APRIL, JUNE options on LRCX, CMOS, and possibly NVLS if it is still trading down after the guidance conference call on Thursday after the close.

On the tech market as a whole after everyone is through with downward guidance and investors are convinced that the lower expectations are still better than other choices a rally will begin. This re-adjustment of expectations usually takes 4 to 6 weeks to materialize.

For now I'm doing mostly covered calls until I see an upward trend in the NASDAQ. I like options because every month its. "where do I go from here".
