WOW, thanks for the map kollmhn. that's a sea of red for Bush, not much to show for Gore.

jimp notified me that TMBR was added to the S&P 600 today. Why am I the last to know?

Thought this was interesting regarding PNO putting 2001 hedges in place:

Hedges Put In Place

The Company has two hedges in place which should help to protect a portion of its projected cash flows. One is a new hedge, a forward sale, or swap, put in place on approximately 40% of PANACO's 2001 estimated natural gas production. This is in addition to the Company's existing option to put oil to a purchaser (``floor''), at $25.00 per barrel, on 1,000 barrels per day through Sept. 30, 2001. (Approximately 41% of estimated 2001 oil production.)

What I thought was interesting was they don't explain the pricing in the press release. I'm agreeing now with "jimp" on this hedging in that your damned if you do and damned if you don't, so upon further review I don't intend to own any companies that have hedges in place from this point on. Will go down with the ship or oil prices which ever come first.

Regards

Very interesting map; too bad we don't have electors chosen via county elections (of course then we wouldn't have a Supreme Court of a county to do mischief).

I just saw a little bit of Dersh on Geraldo's talkfest, and I can only say the words "idiot savant" kept crossing my mind. He's a true embarassment to the law, to Harvard, to just about everything. He accused Jim Baker of masterminding a "Republican coup d'etat" [his words] of fomenting a constitutional crisis yada yada yada. Quel idiot. He doesn't seem to really understand what words mean, not in their everyday sense, or in the legal sense. Yet, I find it very entertaining, in a very twisted way.
