I can't believe what I just heard on CNN. If the Supreme Court will not rule a revote, palm beach county will run their own on Dec 1st with an accounting firm doing the vote! How far is this thing going to go??? Another nail in the democrat coffin. A lot have turned against Gore now. A revote anywhere is in Bush's favor.

But I wonder what kinda legal force and effect it would have. My guess is not much. Is this a re-count or re-vote you're talking about? I presume you mean a re-count. If a re-count, then it sounds like a Democratic move to have the votes in Palm Beach County counted in accordance with their own standards. Such a count would certainly not enjoy any degree of bi-partisanship, and therefore have little trustworthiness in terms of weighing in as evidence in any legal proceeding. Nevertheless, this is what it sounds like the Gore camp is up to because all they can ever hope for in PBC is for a Florida court to include the hand counts that were conducted, but not submitted by the Florida Supreme Court imposed deadline. Yeah, they're really grasping for straws. It is becoming increasingly apparent with each passing day, with each development that the man has no shame. How can't see how American could ever put their faith in a man who has resorted to such tactics. More importantly, I presume you all caught Al sound bite today that the polls, which is a proxy for the will of the people, don't matter. What matters is what is happening in the court proceedings. Can you believe this guy? Because teams of lawyers and legal maneuverings influence the outcome of any court decision, the Framers were vested the power of the presidential electors in the state legislatures for this very reason.
