Hi Bobcor,
I guess that's an ix-nay on TERN, then? <g>

I confess I took the figures at face value.

If the'book value' has no meaning, what chance does anyone who doesn't have access to the company's books have in determining valuation/fair value for a stock? Is this really the way this game is played?

CNBC ran a special over Thanksgiving called, I think, "The Great Game", a history of Wall Street. The name is telling and a bit brazen, really- a tacit acknowledgement of the smoke and mirrors game it really is, overrun by thugs and thieves and gamblers since day one.<g>

If this market were a movie, it would be "Secrets and Lies", or better yet, "Titanic". Way past time to bail. Looking for a good short, but afraid I'm too late for that. I'll keep tuning in here for ideas. Until then, I'll stand pat and be grateful for what I've managed to keep!

-Kate

bobcor,

I think a technology background combined with the effort both of us have put into learning how to read a balance sheet makes us both dangerous as this tech decline is just finishing the 1st inning. -ggg-
