>>Secondly: "the ONLY way to get that is to cut your taxes MORE than most other folks." - In the words of Jimbo Cramer, "Wrong!" The US economy is not a closed system.<<

will steve forbes be happy with the same tax cut, $ for $, that you get? no way! he's gonna get a lot more dough than you. why? he knows the rule - the rule you are so gallantly contesting for him. ;-)

hey, if you are going to use bold letters, you ought to at least explain your thoughts. ;-)

i don't see how the us being an open system necessitates, as your statement clearly infers, that us demand can significantly grow relative to supply with no corresponding price increases. the extra $$$s will go somewhere en masse.

it isn't like productivity is increasing ;-)

those folks whose tax cut don't compensate for increased house prices (compounded by increased interest rates), rent, food, etc. and other items take an effective purchase power cut.

sure, there are scenarios where folks can have a modest cut and most folks will gain purchasing power - i just haven't seen it proposed yet. i see a shell game where folks like steve forbes, who did little more than pick the right daddy to ensure success, pimp a flat tax that will save the "i picked daddy right" club gazillions. not hundreds. not thousands. gazillions. they try and tell joe 6 pack how important that $400 a year is while never speaking about how many gazillions they stand to keep.

the avg american is not dictating tax cuts. the power brokers are. they spend a lot of time and hundreds of time your and my annual salaries figuring how to screw joe 6 pack.
