No Idea. This sounds like a repeat of the USOne/Phoenix Networks debacle that left LU stranded in '97-'98 with 128 MM in Class 5s, optical and ancilary gear. I believe that Qwest and WCII picked up the loose ends (some of the dialtone subs and carrier assets, respectively) when the dust settled. Signs of the times? I suppose one can take a look at the GST assets that were taken over by TW Telecom for ~~700 MM, recently, and do a little extrapolating...
