I don't think, as many easily do right now, that the Florida GOPwingers are gonna fall on their own swords on Bush's behalf. Once testimony comes out in the courts about the difference between the voting machine error rates, more and more folks will realize that Gore's got more votes than currently tabulated. This won't sit will with average folk in Florida who will put pressure on their legislators.

If the Florida legislature does get involved, the only fair act it has available to it is to apportion 12 electoral college votes for Bush; 12 for Gore and one for Nader.

Remember, most state reps who'll vote to eliminate the wishes of half of Florida's voting population indeed put themselves at risk for reelection. And Bush won't be able to give 'em all the same treatment Ambassador-elect Harris will get. Those Florida state reps can't all become ambassadors when elected out of office two years from now.

No. I think the Florida legislature has some very deep thinking to do before it acts in a rash manner.

mike, I'm going to look, but I'd like to find the democrat filing to the flsc. I like to cut out and contrast exactly what was said. Add some new material to the farce.
