Thanks for your interest. I doubt you or anybody would be interested in the full list. It contains both qualitative and quantitative rules for both individual companies and for portfolio management. For example, as you might recall from my previous posts, I focus strongly on free cash flow and on intrinsic value in evaluating individual companies. For qualitative, my feeble participation in this forum should indicate my tendencies.

Within the context of the question "what is the biggest mistake you've made in 2000?" it is the quantitative guidelines, again for both individual companies and for portfolio management, that I have not followed as carefully as I should have. I could not tell you which of my lapses in following my own rules cost me the most money this past year.

I have my set of rules both to ensure I do a certain level of investigation, and to make my investment decisions somewhat more mechanical. Otherwise I can hem and haw, both wasting time and generally getting worse results. As I did this past year.
