I'm in North Yorkshire, around 30 minutes west of York; London is a good 4 hour drive south; I can get to Firth of Fourth in about 3 hours [isn't that a great name?...Firth of Fourth...Someone more creative than I could probably do a variation .... Who's on Firth?]

RE: your question. Thanks for the link....I agree that there isn't an excuse [excuse implies validity] for those counties to have 25 year old machines. But I think I still stand by my opinion [which I believe is also consistent with yours] that the money goes where people bitch or there is a catastrophe [which causes people to bitch].

Test: Everyone on the thread who has called their Congressman to bitch that the FAA uses radar systems for air traffic control that are completely obsolete and it places at risk the flying public... can now post a response to this message...."Aye".
