there is no significant short term inverse relationship between gold and stocks. there is a long term one however. we've had phases like e.g. '85-87, when the Dow and the PoG rallied concurrently, and peaked concurrently as well. the only significant intermarket relationship is the PoG's inverse correlation with the dollar. that's about 0,88 over the past 20 years.
