I went for the gold crowns myself. The dentist wasn't even going to ask...they were going to do ceramic by default. When she started doing a tooth color match, I said that won't be necessary I want GOLD crowns. She looked at me like I was nuts... By the way, did you know that some porcelain crowns are built around a gold/platinum base? Check out these babies...88% gold, 9% platinum, and porcelain covered.
