FUD alert... the shorts have the full court press out on CIEN, yesterday it was 2 months old "news" about a customer, then a "downgrade" from a firm no one has ever heard of, then today a rumor that ALA is taking contracts from CIEN (I think quite the contrary actually). We just bought some under 72, a price we never thought we would see again. CIEN has always been conscientious with its street guidance, with earnings out on Dec. 6, we would have already heard from CIEN itself if their were problems this quarter. This is a market where all the short seller fud and tricks work well.
