The way I see this recent stock volitility FWIW.

1) We are in a tech bear market. When it ends who knows. But its dragging down a lot of quality companies, and putting a lot of bad companies out of misery.

2) LE has taken over again as head cheese. Thus we have some people leaving that realize they will never be in charge as long as he is around.

3) Le has taken over because he is changing the companies direction. He is the only person that can do it as this requires a dictator, not a facilitator. Thus he has had some conflicts and others have left. I anticipate more will leave

4) LE is moving into the Apps market away from database. This is a risky move in some peoples eyes and hence there is uncertainty that he will succeed. Since the market abhors uncertainty the price has fallen more than average.

So if you have faith that LE has his act together and knows what he is doing, stick around. If he succeeds ORCL will be huge. If not, well, there's always MSFT.
