JDin.

The numbers of GDP once again are interpreted differently....in the core are these figures that are more important.. lot of strong economy which is not anymore red hot a scenerio of nice landing..
<<While the slowdown in performance during the third quarter was marked, there still were pockets of strength that implied continued expansion. Consumer spending, which fuels two-thirds of national economic activity, grew at an unrevised 4.5 percent annual rate, up from 3.1 percent in the second quarter.

Some types of business investment were stronger than previously thought. Nonresidential fixed investment, which includes new plants and equipment, increased at a 7.8 percent annual rate in the third quarter rather than 6.9 percent estimated a month ago. >>

Also, this judge in the case is very suspect IMHO. An african american liberal female judge. Gore's dream... She refused to allow this to be bundled into other legal matters. She wants to be the heroine.

I think Gore is purposefully downplaying this one. He must be involved in the background...
