THE END<<< I agree. Let the judges, themselves, and their trusted designees, count the ballots and conclude the matter. Regarding Bush's so-called trump card? Now that Ambassador-elect Harris has been phased out of the picture, it's supposed to be the Florida Legislature and, of course, the influence of his brother whose governor. I continue to insist the legislature won't interfere in the process because those state legislators will not wanna fall on Bush's sword. Were Florida's state legislators to blantantly support what Bush wants--the presidency without ALL votes counted, in accordance with legal requests for handcounts--they'd totally disregard wishes of half or more of the Florida's voters. Few of those legislators would fare well in any future election attempt for statewide office. Hey, this is politics folks! And, in politics, it's very difficult to run and win statewide when you've got a 48 percent negative base from the start. Regardless of the present gamesmanship and brinksmanship, prudent Floridian GOP state representatives and senators will be more than cognizant of this. I think the best the Florida legislature can do, were it to intervene, would be to assign an equal proportion of electors to both Bush and Gore. Under the circumstances, only this could be construed as a fair resolution which would keep those state legislators in good steed among those would would vote for 'em in the future. Given the above, I think it'll ultimately be the courts that will decide this election. And the reason why I think the courts will become the final arbiter is due to forthcoming testimony from voting machine experts.
