Samsung Electronics does have publicly traded GDRs, but you need to be an institution to buy them, as they are 144A GDRs. And actually, if you're an institution, you'd be much better off buying the stock in Korea, because the stock is very liquid, but the GDRs are not.

One other thought, Samsung Electronics is a big, big corporation, and the chip side is only a part. Even if RDRAM is a home run for Samsung, it won't boost the overall company very much.

Yep. Samsung's symbol is SSNLF. They have been touting their profitability and revenue growth for a while now.
Most of the Korean companies are in fiscal trouble but Samsung is not!
