Banks and insurance are rocking again... What are they trying to tell us?

A FY rally? With all this bad news debt out there, I just can't see why people should be excited about these stocks. What is the deal with the bankruptcy bill moving through the US congress? I think there was a provision to suck up retirement assets into the mix, unlike current law. I guess that would be a rational reason to explain an uptick. Maybe Wellstone, who was blocking the bill, has been bought off. -g-

AA and AAA corporate spreads continue to narrow... also, treasury yields are continuing to disinvert, making marginal credits more profitable.
