The question is, if the FL legislature elects a Bush slate even though the 4000 votes on Seminole are under legal challenge, will the Congress accept the Florida electors and make Bush president before that challenge is resolved?

and ironically Gore lawyers can't go anywhere NEAR it because of Gore's stance that "every vote must count".

Seminole County is quite likely a "non-starter" simply because there hasn't been any outright evidence of intentional fraud.

The error in the 4700 ballots is apparently the result of a printing error on the form, wherein the forms lacked the necessary "boxes" for the voter to write their number in.

Since Florida law stipulates that the Voter ID # must be on the ballot, these voters would have been disenfranchised had not the GOP representatives offered to compare their database of registered voters to the SIGNED absentee ballots.

Unless the democrats can prove that the GOP folks actually altered the ballots or deliberately entered the wrong voter ID # in order to make a ballot valid when it shouldn't have been, it is unlikely that the court will rule that a crime or tort has occurred.

The equivalent act on the electronic ballots would be a GOP/Dem worker taking the ballot from the voter and insuring that all loose chads were removed before being inserted into the "votamatic".

Now I base this opinion upon the facts that I have at the moment. There must be evidence that a crime was committed with intent to defraud or manipulate the election.

Ron
