Whether they could be persuaded to move east would be an interesting challenge.
Try this: load their belongings on toboggans and wrap the tow rope around their waists. Put them on snow shoes and point them east. (Remember to set up your video camera). Now dump a quart of turpentine down their drawers and watch the snow fly. Somehow, there is something poetic in watching a parasite snowshoeing at 70 miles per hour. <g>
