I recall some cops telling me about a woman who was walking on a downtown sidewalk over a grate when below street level a transformer blew and spewed PCBs all over her. It was the only time they saw an EMT crew near panic. The crew had to scramble around one of the office buildings to find rolls of plastic to cover and triple wrap her before they'd load her in the ambulance. The ER staff nearly panicked too. She survived and my understanding was she planned to sue damn near everyone if she lived long enough.
