Dear Cheryl: I am quite sure he will lower the interest rates next year. Not going to do it during this election, you know, the one that just wont die. Anyhow, by then Gore will have managed to do what AG couldnt, and that is to take the irrational exhuberation out of even quality stocks like SUNW and EMC. Both are down again today big time. I have to believe its a Valuation Issue as I know of nothing specific to the companies. Who wadda ever thought? JDN

He's also eliminating any chance of a government surplus, IMHO. As interest rates rise, a major component of the cost of government rises with it. Unemployment compensation also costs money.
