If Bush agreed to the proposal a state wide recount would have taken place in short order. Who would have objected? Nader???? Can you link me to any Florida law that says this was a call Gore could offer.....??? Do you know of anyone who ran for office and was ahead to request a recount.....???

Since Gore never made the offer we will never know. Words on TV are meaningless. If that is what we truly proposed he would have done it in court, the ONLY place it counts. He did not make the offer in a court because there would have been the chance that the judge would order it.
