If Bush agreed to the proposal a state wide recount would have taken place in short order. Who would have objected? Nader????

Can you link me to any Florida law that says this was a call Gore could offer.....???

Do you know of anyone who ran for office and was ahead to request a recount.....???

Doesn't each candidate have the right to have 4 counties recounted? Gore 4, Bush 4. Are there only 8 counties in Florida?

Since Gore never made the offer we will never know. Words on TV are meaningless. If that is what we truly proposed he would have done it in court, the ONLY place it counts. He did not make the offer in a court because there would have been the chance that the judge would order it.

The point is that there should be no recount by hand. Those ballots are not designed for hand-counting such as those that were on the 1st 100 years of the US history. They are designed for counting by machine, and if the machines are not broken, machine should count them right.

Bush agreed for recount. He only objected the method of using the wrong tool to do the job.
