Maybe the fundamentals do matter most over the long term, but if institutions are dumping, then those shares are moving into weaker hands, and the stock becomes even more volatile.

Re the chart. It does not suggest that SNDK should trade at a PE of 15. It shows the historical relation between the share price and a 15X multiple of earnings. According to Multex, the YOY earnings growth are much less from 2000 to 2001 than from 1999 to 2000, around 18%. Does this jibe with your expectation?
