I read it, in the current edition ('96? '97?) where Galbraith says in the latest preface, "...and the same thing's going on right this minute!". I agree it's a great book and pretty terrifying.

But there are more recent examples in our history where the Fed overtightened and tipped us into recession not in the context of a stock bubble. Obviously we had a bubble for the past several years. Is this really the big Kahuna? Maybe or maybe not; tech stocks may never again see the same level of fantasy valuation, but IMHO it remains to be seen whether we're in a Great Crash. But the Fed has overtightened.
