What about EGRP for bottom fishers?

The Wall Street Journal and CNBC have reported (or so I read at Briefing.com):

13:58 ET Charles Schwab (SCH) 28 1/2 +13/16: Wall St. Journal reported this morning (and CNBC repeating now) that Merrill Lynch (MER -3/4) has registered the domain name "merrilllynchschwab.com"; the registration was made on Oct. 26. While such registrations can be made to preempt cyber-squatters, it is notable that Merrill has apparently not registered any other names with potential acquisition targets. Also notable that there is a precedent, it was reported back in May 1999 that Worldcom (WCOM) had registered "skytelworldcom.com"; 3 days later WCOM acquired Skytel. None of this proves anything, but it is curious.
