CIEN PE more like 80 growing at 160%...50% Price/Growth...not so bad...better than KO at 80 PE with 12% growth.

freeus - because we don't want you to get your head taken off on a severely overdue snapback rally. There will be a market here everyday - if you missed a shorting opp yesterday, there may be one tomorrow. When everyone is leaning in the short direction it gets awfully crowded when it's time to cover. Best,
JF3

freeus,

You said you shorted between $69 & $70.......

RTQ $72 9/16

Where is your stop loss?

FWIW freeus, I must agree with Greg & edamo about what you are doing. This very well could be an emotional mo mo reaction & the matches you are playing with can burn you badly if you aren't careful. Give it some serious thought.

By short do you mean actually short or do you mean you bought puts?

I agree w/ Greg, please don't short. It's a pro's game. It was explained to me in detail a long while back by Sir Francis Drake (Morgan)--it can really turn on you.

Buy puts if you must, with tight stops.

Freeus: For whatever it's worth, please allow me to offer my 2 cents worth as well.... don't short. I usually buy puts instead. Safer than shorting.

In fact, over the past 3 weeks, I have traded QQQ puts. So, that may be an alternative to consider.
