Ar present our economy is holding much of it has to do with out legal frame work in my mind. It keeps us busy more so than any other nation.

Japan looks very good the innovations in accounting procedures i feel have assisted. Question then becomes was she ever in bad shape or was it just perception due to the baht?

The US dollar is as perception. We are our market, Yuck, VBG

Quite the generation of modern-time thieving bankers no?

But we shouldn't worry about them. They'll be the ones
able to pay for a loaf of bread with a suitcase of fiat -
at first. Then bakers (aka the little guy) will realize
how valuable the bread is, and that the bankers have no
real skills other than the skill they used to rob them of
any buying power. Then we make them clean our toilets.

Ah poetic justice - like they won't all be out of the
country by that point ;-)
