<So what is your theory as to the parts of this machine? I want your thoughts, not a picture or my own or a political party's opinion. I want you to state your opinion on the parts of the votematic machine. If you please>

My theory (backed up by empirical evidence) is that al jr lost. You can blame it on the machines, the elderly, broken pencils, bowling balls or the semiconductor. But make no mistake, albert jr lost the election. And as a consequence, he must move out of his home.

Who cares? All this BS becomes moot as soon as the USSC turns back the clock OR the FL legislature steps in to resolve the situation and ensure that the Bush electors are appointed to cast their votes.

lawpooch, the past respectable Democratic party has been taken hostage the last 8 years by a crowd of lawless, do anything to win, politicians. This group will say anything, do anything to win. They are following the Clinton scorched earth policy.

Gore lost, he lost the recount. No you cant just recount the heavily democratic counties and say it's fair. It's too late. There are laws that have to be followed.

Gore can contest. But he doesn't have a leg to stand on. If the situation were reversed, Bush would be laughed out of the country by the media.

When you look back on this in a couple of months you will realize how biased you are presently acting.

The current crowd can't comprehend defeat. It will get even uglier before they run out of options.

But, there is no way that Bush will ever have this FL victory taken away. The FL legislature is responsible for electing the FL electors. I don't expect you to accept it yet, but it's over.

<<So what is your theory as to the parts of this machine? I want your thoughts, not a picture or my own or a political party's opinion. I want you to state your opinion on the parts of the votematic machine. If you please.>>

It's a box 10"x10"x1". It has a booklet with the candidates listed and holes next to each candidate. You slide the ballot between the ballot and the box. The ballot has two holes that fit over pins and hold it in position. The box has a center panel full of holes so the ballot is supported.

The stylus is the only moving part is the stylus. You open to page one, select a candidate, insert the stylus in the corresponding hole and push down with about one ounce of pressure and the stylus moves 1/2 inch.

Then you turn the page to page 2 which has another race and the holes are offset to the right side of of the holes on page one. You select a candidate, insert the stylus in the corresponding hole and push down with about one ounce of pressure and the stylus moves 1/2 inch.......

After voting YOU CHECK your ballot. I've never found a hanging chad after voting and going by MY experience with the machine, believe hanging chads are stripped off when you remove the ballot. All in all it would take a real idiot not to get it right. I was done in thirty seconds and didn't vote straight party.
