The poll did find some good news for Bush, should he be confirmed as president: 63 percent thought he would have legitimacy, including 53 percent of Gore voters. Only 15 percent of all voters and 21 percent of Gore backers thought Bush would not be the legitimate president.

You are free to keep your own score, but what has proven to be the deciding factor is that more people voted for Bush in Florida than for Gore.
