Wow, you Repooplicans are really dim wits. The point is you have not been charged for the product even though it was run over the scanner twice. The checker will probably have to manually enter the price or bar code number into the register so you will be charged for the product. Now, I know this is difficult, but mentally replace the product with a ballot and the scanner with a punch card reader. A ballot that is sent through the reader with a vote for President that is the machine ignores has not been counted. You can send the ballot through the machine 500 times but if it can't read the ballot's vote the vote has never been counted. The only way to count that vote is to have a human being look at it, just like checkers in a grocery stores do on a daily basis.
