chris431:

"GTW seeing lower demand in the next 9-12 months."

Didn't hear their comments...Does lower demand refer to a)fewer units in absolute terms or b) a decline in rate of increase from the historical high rates of increase of last year...Makes an incredible difference how one interprets "lower demand" as the latter suggests an absolute increase in number, whereas the former suggests an absolute decline in number...Last I heard, world demand for PC's was expected to increase somewhere between 15 and 20% in Y2001, a fairly healthy increase, but down as in (b) from the previous years 20 to 30 % increase...Whether (a) or (b), it's probably already factored into AMD's price twice over!!! May have to digest a tad more though before the market accepts the notion that the sky really isn't falling...

Niceguy, there isn't a positive spin for AMD that you can put on this.

Chris-

You obviously don't know Niceguy very well.
