I doubt that anyone, anywhere, in Canada would love to get out from under the control of urban Ontario any more than those who live in rural Ontario.

LOL. That's a sentiment I have heard many times, from those Ontarians that live in what they themselves call Northern Ontario - as opposed to what Toronto calls Northern Ontario.

Try driving the "King's Highway - 17" from the Manitoba border to where it expands to become 417, just west of Ottawa. It will offer a few clues as to why.

Then why not vote to evict Toronto? Lastman wants it to be its own province. Leave from Etobicoke south as the province of Toronto (which the Americans already think exists <g>), hive from Nepean east onto the Outouais, and voila -- a leaner, more sensible province of Ontario.
