Ever put your credit card into a self-serve gas pump? If you are careless enough to demagnetize the strip, you get no gas.

LAWDOG - your're digging in deeper each time on this.

If I execute my right to vote and the voting machine doesn't read my vote properly, then am I liable for anything, or can I leave the pooling place without being arrested for theft?
Now, if I really valued my right to vote, then I would logically do all that I could to ensure that my vote will accrue properly (check the ballot, etc). If I don't really value my right to vote, then I would probably not check the ballot, etc.

It seems to come down to whether a person really values their right granted by the Constitution of this great nation.
