Who needs polls? They don't matter to Gore but they do matter to Bush. Representatives and Senators read those polls. When they see that a substantial portion of the public thinks the President did not get a legitimate certification, they have no fear of the new President. They are not afraid to oppose him. Absolutely no honeymoon for Bush. No slack at all.
