kash:

The good news for AMD is that of the 145,000 shares traded in the aftermarket, 115,000 were at $17 or better...The bad news is that the last 10,000 have been under $16...Not much available under $16, it seems...

For those you didn't listen to the Gateway conf call, there is a short press release on their website at investor.gateway.com

Basically, the said that the THanksgiving weekend was EXTREMELY disappointing for sales. Almost no pop. They are lowering their revenue estimates for Q4 from $3.05B to $2.55B. They are lowering their revenue growth forecast for 2001 to 10%, and most of that is "beyond the box" stuff.

They think this is totally a consumer demand issue and the fact that computer sales are becoming less and less seasonal. Extremely grim.
