I for one see a glaring similarity between GE Corp and America Inc. If a disgruntled GE insider went into muckraking his company because he didn't get promoted then he could indeed do serious damage.... Even though GE is a respectable, healthy corporation that is not involved in widespread embezzling and wholesale books-cooking, all one needs to wreck the company's image and send its stockprice into a dive is just a single substantiated lead about, say, a million dollar swindle. Thereafter, it's merely a matter of involving the media, the IRS, the SEC, etc. And you know how those niggly SEC sleuths stick to the book.... And that's how a little crack of a coupla million dollars could send the whole GE flotilla to the bottom! Gus.
