Certain inaccuracies have crept in over the 1000's of years of hand copying. However, we have numerous ancient texts, some as old as 150 BC. The core has proven to have been very reliably maintained.

Outside of this minor variations and inaccuracies due to translation and hand copying, I take the Bible to be both an accurate account of history, as well as the essential truth of life.

I do, however, encourage all skeptics, to NEVER belive without reason. Test it with an open mind. Compare the historical accounts of the Bible with archeological finds of ancient civilizations. Chekc the prophetic record. If the Bible fails to measure up in one area, then it is completely unreliable. Given that we have a mind, faith in God dictates that He intended us to use it. I would never suggest otherwise.
